Distance Matrix is a matrix that contains the distances of multiple points relative to each other. It can return time and distance information between points A and B as matrix element information.

Measure Distance on Google Maps
Distance measurement via Google Maps can be used to calculate the distance between 2 or more points on the map. For example, you can measure the distance in a straight line between 2 cities.
To measure the distance between two points:
- Open Google Maps on your PC.
- Right-click your starting point.
- Select Measure distance.
- Click anywhere on the map to create a path to measure. Click anywhere on the map to add another point.
- At the bottom you can find the total distance in miles (miles) and kilometers (km).
Tip: To move a point or path, click and drag. Click on a point to remove it.
When you’re done, click Close on the bottom card.

Distance Matrix API is a service that provides travel distance and time for distance matrix of multiple points. The API returns information based on the suggested route between start and end points as calculated by Google Maps and consists of rows with time and distance values for each pair.
